Success In Wonderland for Maggie’s

In July, we produced a bespoke commission for the Maggie's In Wonderland Ball, a charitable event organised by Caroline Saunders in aid of Maggie's, who provide free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family. For the dinner, which was hosted at the Tower Bridge Hilton Hotel, we designed and painted a small batch of limited edition globe ornaments, 30 of which were placed onto the centre of each table where guests were invited to purchase the ornament as a worthwhile contribution to the cause. The 30 ornaments raised a phenomenal £2,000 for Maggie's, which we are absolutely delighted with. It was our pleasure to be part of this wonderful event for a truly worth while cause.

Themed around Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the Maggie's In Wonderland Ball used commissioned illustrations throughout their print and marketing which we digitised and rendered for use on the ornament artwork. The locality of the venue lent the artwork perfectly to the use of the Tower of London as its setting, upon which these illustrative characters were added to this iconic landmark. A playful use of illustration and detailed artistry made for a fun, commemorative work of art.

Displayed on the tables in a illuminated white lantern, each ornament was auctioned off per table - the highest bidder contributing an incredibly generous £200 for her decoration. We are absolutely delighted to have been involved with such a magnificent event and contribute to the fantastic work both Caroline and Maggie's achieve.
